Introduction & Overview of related literature:

Introduction:

The dissertation selected by me is on “A Survey of Teaching of English Grammar by Teachers at Secondary Level Gujarati Medium Schools”, which is directly relevant to my own experience as a student and an observer as well. Here, in this report I have endeavoured enough to view out the research carried out by Mr.DIPAK THAKAR on various grammar teaching methods being executed by English teachers at secondary level in Gujarati medium schools.

Overview of related literature:

The researcher has used related literature regarding topic so far implications in teaching procedure are concerned; researcher has refereed all the methods and approaches being applied by the teachers at secondary level schools likewise;
Ø Situational approach,
Ø Functional approach,
Ø Grammar translation method,
Ø Direct method,
Ø Audio lingual method.

Moreover, he has taken support of reference books especially with the opinions of different Methodists, linguists etc.
